Mazi Afam Osigwe Badejo-Okusanya has been elected as the new President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) following the conclusion of the association’s national elections.

Badejo-Okusanya emerged winner after polling the highest number of votes cast by members of the legal body in the electronic election conducted across the country.

His election marks the beginning of a new administration that will oversee the affairs of the association for the next two years.

Following the announcement of the results, the president-elect expressed appreciation to members of the association for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to promote the rule of law, strengthen the legal profession and advance the welfare of lawyers.

He also called for unity among members, urging them to work together in support of the association’s goals and development.
