Presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, on Saturday visited one of his prominent supporters, Isaac Fayose, in Abuja.
The visit came days after controversy erupted over Fayose’s recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu.
Fayose had met with Seyi Tinubu and businessman Pascal Okechukwu in the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday night.
Videos from the gathering circulated widely on social media, showing the trio praying for President Bola Tinubu, themselves and the country.
The meeting sparked reactions online, particularly among supporters of Obi, with some questioning Fayose’s engagement with associates of the president.
Obi’s visit is seen by observers as an effort to maintain ties with the businessman amid the public debate generated by the meeting.
