A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has slammed Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over the latter’s recent remarks.

Recall that Makinde on Monday called on the United Nations to launch an independent investigation into the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in the state.

Makinde, who spoke after the military handed over the rescued victims to him, said the incident raises questions that require independent scrutiny beyond Nigeria’s domestic institutions.

Apparently reacting to Makinde’s remarks, Igbokwe in a post on his official Facebook page on Tuesday said the governor has embarrassed himself and the state.

He wrote, “Come ooooo, is Governor Seyi Makinde the only wise man in Nigeria? The way he is wired worries me to the marrows.

“He has embarrassed himself, his state, his image, his status, office etc. This is reckless, a ruse and totally uncalled for.”
