Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has raised concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s health, saying the President should prioritise his wellbeing.
Lawal argued that Tinubu’s health should be a major consideration as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to gather momentum.
According to him, the demands of leading the country require a leader who is physically fit and capable of handling the responsibilities of the office.
The former SGF maintained that discussions about the President’s health are legitimate and should not be dismissed, given the importance of the office.
His comments add to the growing political debate over the 2027 presidential election and the suitability of potential candidates.
