The Senator representing Abia North in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no competitor for the 2027 presidential election.
Senator Kalu stated this at his home town, Igbere, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia state during a meeting with stakeholders of his political groups, OUk Movement and Reality Organization with All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Abia state.
Senator Kalu said just like President Tinubu has no competitor in 2027, so is APC which he said has no challenge in the country presently.
“I can assure you, just like President Tinubu has no competitor in 2027, APC as a party has no challenge. The opposition in the country is in tithers, they are yet to put their houses in order and do not have the capacity to challenge APC.
“Tinubu is what a good leader should be, he is not afraid of taking decisions, even at the cost of losing election, he is taking hard decisions for the interest of the country.
“The President’s economic policies may not have taken Nigeria to where it should be, but we are getting there. It is true we are still battling with the micro economy, but the macro economy is doing well”.
Kalu said he has been representing his people of Abia North with their mandate and that any day they will said they don’t want him again, he will return home.
He told the people he has been representing them well at the Senate, stressing that there is no Senate constituency that is better than Abia North in terms of attraction of projects.
He added that apart from attracting the rehabilitation of many roads in Abia North, he has attracted the reconstruction of many schools and gave uniforms and text books to pupils from his constituency.
“I must say that I have been representing my people well as there is no Senate constituency that is better than Abia North in terms of attraction of projects and I know my people will return me to the Senate”.
Kalu assured of his return to the Senate, stressing that there was no way APC will lose as the party is on ground in Abia, even as he expressed optimism Tinubu would win in the state in 2027.
He cautioned the leadership of the party in the state to manage its affairs with maturity and fairness as not to create factions within the party.
The Senator disclosed that he decided to involve members of APC in the meeting for unity and progress of the party in Abia.
A former Governorship aspirant of APC in Abia state, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu urged members of the party to forge ahead to be able to win the next election.
He disclosed that he withdrew from the party’s Governorship primaries conducted last month in the interest and unity of the party.
He called on all to support the re-election of President Tinubu and vote for all APC candidates in the state in 2027.
Other speakers including Chiefs George Nnanna Kalu, Uche Ogboso commended Senator Kalu for his quality representation and promised to work for his re-election.
