Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described former Anambra State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a “fantastic” person but expressed doubts about his chances of winning the 2027 presidential election.

Fayose made the remarks while discussing the political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He acknowledged Obi’s popularity and political appeal but argued that his strategy and the current political dynamics could make it difficult for him to secure victory.

According to Fayose, Obi’s political opponents have now studied his approach and are likely to be better prepared to counter him in the next election.

He said Obi had previously been seen by many as a major hope for the country, but his chances could be limited if opposition forces fail to unite.

Fayose’s comments come amid ongoing political realignments and discussions among opposition figures ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
