Kylian Mbappé continued his sensational 2026 World Cup campaign by breaking Miroslav Klose’s all-time goalscoring record as France cruised into the Round of 16.
The France captain scored twice in a commanding 3-0 victory over Sweden, taking his tournament tally to six goals and two assists.
With the brace, the 27-year-old has now moved ahead of the legendary German striker Klose on the all-time World Cup goalscorers list.
That puts his ahead of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who has six goals and no assist to his name.
However, both Messi and Mbappe have both broken Klose’s all-time record this World Cup.
