France captain Kylian Mbappe has become only the fourth player in FIFA World Cup history to score 10 goals in a single edition of the tournament.

The forward reached the milestone after finding the net in France’s third-place playoff against England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the achievement, Mbappe joins an exclusive group of players who have recorded double-digit goals in a single World Cup campaign.

The feat further strengthens the 27-year-old’s reputation as one of the tournament’s most prolific goalscorers, having consistently delivered for France on the biggest stage.

Mbappe’s goals played a key role in France’s run to the latter stages of the competition, despite the team’s failure to reach the final.
