The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, at Registration Area centres across Osun State until Friday, July 31, 2026.

The electoral body said the extension is intended to give more registered voters additional time to obtain their PVCs and participate in the forthcoming election.

INEC urged eligible voters who are yet to collect their cards to take advantage of the extension, stressing that the PVC remains the only valid means of accreditation for voting.

The commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a credible, free and fair electoral process, encouraging residents to complete the collection exercise before the new deadline expires.

The Osun governorship election is expected to be one of the major off-cycle polls ahead of the 2027 general elections.
