Guinness World Records has confirmed that a concert held in Lagos and organised by Dapper Live & Artists set the record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.

The record-setting concert featured performances by King Saheed Osupa, KS1 Malaika and other Afrobeats artistes.

The achievement was announced on Tuesday in a post on X, accompanied by a video of the performance.

In the post, Guinness World Records wrote, “Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists @DapperMusicEnt_. This attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition.

“Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination. The event showcased how Afrobeats and orchestral music can seamlessly blend,” the post read.

The performance, tagged Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience, held on December 16, 2025.

It brought together artistes including T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee, and Dwillsharmony, alongside the Fuji stars.

Organisers had earlier disclosed the record on their Instagram page, stating that the concert had been reviewed and verified by Guinness World Records.

They described the night as a fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji, and orchestral arrangement, adding that the outing was aimed at rewriting the record books.

Dapper Live & Artists is linked to Nigerian music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper, who is also known for his relationship with celebrity chef and three-time Guinness World Records holder, Hilda Baci.
