Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has said she would end a serious relationship if she became attracted to another man.
The singer made the statement while responding to a woman seeking advice on her Ask Ayra Starr show.
According to Ayra Starr, she would rather end her existing relationship than maintain romantic relationships with two men at the same time.
“If I’m in a serious relationship with a guy and then I find another guy more attractive, I would break up with him instead of dating both of them at the same time,” she said.
The singer said she does not believe a person can genuinely love two people at the same time, advising anyone in such a situation to take time away from relationships to understand their feelings.
“I don’t think you can love two people. I think you need time to yourself so you can figure it out,” she added.
Ayra Starr also spoke about maintaining friendships while in a romantic relationship.
She advised people not to abandon their friends after falling in love, stressing that romantic partners should not isolate each other from their social circles.
“You should never abandon your friends because you are in love,” she said.
“Your partner should not isolate you from your friends because you are in a relationship. There should be a balance between friendship and relationship in love,” she added.
