Elon Musk says SpaceX could generate about $1 trillion in revenue by 2030.
He made the claim on Sunday in a post on X, while responding to journalist and financial commentator Jon Erlichman.
“I think SpaceX might be able to reach approximately $1T revenue in 2030,” Musk wrote. “And I would be surprised if revenue is not greater than $1T in 2031.”
The projection comes shortly after SpaceX went public in a major listing valued at more than $2 trillion.
The IPO, completed on June 12, saw shares open at $150, up from the $135 offer price. The stock closed its first trading day at $160.95, pushing the company’s valuation above $2 trillion.
