A United States-based advocacy firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has accused President Bola Tinubu of being determined to remain in office ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The firm made the allegation in a statement on Wednesday while commenting on developments surrounding the 2027 election.
It claimed that Tinubu was using the powers of his office to strengthen his political position ahead of the election.
The firm also raised concerns about what it described as the use of state institutions and government resources for political purposes.
It urged Nigerians and international observers to pay attention to developments surrounding the electoral process.
The firm has previously made allegations concerning Tinubu and his administration, including claims relating to the 2027 election.
The Presidency has rejected similar allegations from opposition figures and organisations, maintaining that Tinubu is focused on governance and the implementation of government policies.
The 2027 presidential election is expected to feature Tinubu and candidates from opposition parties, although the final list of candidates will be determined through the electoral process.
