Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following his victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Adeleke received the certificate on Wednesday at the INEC office in Osogbo, formally confirming his re-election for another term in office.
The governor dedicated the certificate to the people of Osun State, describing it as a reflection of their mandate and confidence in his administration.
The ceremony was marked by jubilation among members and supporters of the Accord Party, with Adeleke also seen dancing while receiving the certificate.
Speaking after the presentation, Adeleke announced plans to establish a N500 million Election Violence Victims Endowment Fund to support verified victims and families affected by violence during the electoral process.
He said the fund would provide relief to victims irrespective of their political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, gender or social status.
