The organisers of Big Brother Naija have announced that Season 11 of the reality show will premiere on July 26.

Organisers announced this at a press briefing on Wednesday and also revealed that the winner of this year’s edition will receive a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million — the largest reward since the reality show was launched in 2006.

The show will air round-the-clock on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49, continuing its 24-hour live broadcast format that allows viewers to follow housemates’ activities throughout the season.

Also in a statement released on their social media page ahead of the launch, the organisers said: “The spotlight is waiting. No hiding, no playing safe. Biggie’s house reopens on July 26th.”

Season 11 is expected to feature a new set of contestants competing for prizes through weekly tasks, nominations and public voting.

The organisers also said the programme would continue to focus on entertainment, competition and audience engagement, with viewers able to follow developments in the house in real time.

For the new season, betPawa Nigeria will serve as headline sponsor, while Guinness Nigeria Plc is listed as gold sponsor and Minimie Nigeria as associate sponsor.

Big Brother Naija remains one of Nigeria’s most-watched television programmes and has produced several contestants who later built careers in entertainment, media and business.
