The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has promised to introduce a ₦500,000 monthly minimum wage and ensure 24-hour electricity if elected president in 2027.

Sowore said the proposed wage would help Nigerian workers cope with the rising cost of living.

“We are proposing a ₦500,000 monthly living minimum wage because Nigerian workers cannot continue receiving starvation wages while senators, governors and other public officials earn huge salaries,” he said.

The AAC candidate also pledged to address Nigeria’s electricity challenges and provide uninterrupted power supply across the country.

Sowore said his proposed policies would focus on improving workers’ welfare, reducing hardship and addressing the country’s economic challenges.

He urged Nigerians to support his presidential ambition, promising to implement policies aimed at improving living conditions if elected in 2027.
