A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by its National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, says it has successfully uploaded the details of its presidential, vice-presidential and other candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal ahead of the 2027 general election.
The faction described the move as a significant step in its preparations for the 2027 polls, insisting it remains the legitimate leadership of the party despite the ongoing leadership dispute.
According to the faction, the successful upload of its candidates’ credentials demonstrates its compliance with the electoral timetable and readiness to participate in the next general election.
The development comes amid the lingering leadership crisis within the ADC, with rival factions continuing to lay claim to the party’s national leadership.
The Nafiu Bala-led group maintained that its actions are in line with the law and expressed confidence that its candidates would be recognised for the 2027 elections.
