France Football, organisers of the Ballon d’Or, have officially announced the nominees for the 2026 edition of the prestigious football award.
The nominees are being unveiled across the various award categories ahead of the ceremony scheduled to hold in London on October 26, 2026.
The 2026 awards will recognise players and coaches for their performances during the 2025/26 season, including their contributions at club and international level.
The men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or categories each have 30 nominees, while other categories include the Kopa Trophy, Yashin Trophy, coach and club awards.
The announcement comes after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which formed part of the assessment period for this year’s awards.
Ousmane Dembélé, who won the men’s Ballon d’Or in 2025, is among the leading names expected to feature in this year’s contest.
The ceremony will be held in London for the first time, with the winners to be determined by votes from an international panel of football journalists.
