The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said President Bola Tinubu’s campaign for re-election in 2027 cannot erase the hardship and poverty confronting Nigerians.

The opposition party made the statement while reacting to the political activities surrounding the 2027 presidential election.

The ADC argued that the economic challenges facing Nigerians remained a major issue that could not be addressed through campaign promises or political rhetoric.

The party said Nigerians would assess the Tinubu administration based on their experiences, particularly the rising cost of living and economic difficulties.

It also criticised the President’s focus on securing another term, urging his administration to prioritise issues affecting the welfare and security of citizens.

The party’s position comes as political parties intensify their campaigns ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the economy, insecurity and living standards expected to feature prominently in the contest.
