Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has denied claims that he has an agreement with President Bola Tinubu regarding the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke made the clarification while reacting to comments attributed to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, concerning his political relationship with the President.
Keyamo had reportedly suggested that Adeleke had an understanding with Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
However, Adeleke dismissed the claim, insisting that he has no agreement with the President concerning the 2027 presidency.
The Osun governor said his political decisions would be guided by his personal convictions and the interests of the people he represents.
He also maintained that his recent victory in the Osun governorship election should not be interpreted as evidence of any political arrangement with the President ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development comes amid growing political realignments and discussions among political actors ahead of the 2027 general elections.
