Suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state ahead of the next election.
Fubara made the announcement during a political gathering, where he also confirmed his decision to align with the coalition led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
He said the move was aimed at promoting political unity and ensuring stability in Rivers State, urging his supporters to work with members of the coalition.
The governor also called on political stakeholders to set aside their differences and focus on the development of the state.
His endorsement is expected to reshape the political landscape in Rivers State as parties intensify preparations for the forthcoming governorship election.
